Holy Matrimony
A covenant of lifelong love and service between a man and a woman. Holy Matrimony is a public covenant before God and the Church. The parish offers pre-marriage preparation, pastoral guidance, and liturgy planning for couples preparing to marry.
Who may marry here?
- Baptized Catholics (mixed marriages with permission)
- Couples who complete the parish marriage preparation
Requirements
- Meet with the parish priest at least 6 months before the wedding
- Provide baptismal certificates and proof of freedom to marry
- Attend pre-marriage courses / FOCCUS or parish program
Wedding Preparation & Steps
Initial meeting with the parish priest to set date and discuss requirements.
Complete necessary paperwork and submit certificates.
Attend pre-marriage formation and counseling sessions.
Plan the liturgy and rehearsal with music ministers and the priest.
Celebrate the marriage with family and parish community; parish issues the marriage certificate.
