Brief History

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish was initially a subparish of Lubaga Parish and was known as Busega-Nateete subparish till the Late Archbishop Cardinal Emmanuel Nsubuga made it a parish. It was on the request of his relative Maria Nagawa Kalanzi who requested for a church in Busega for she couldn't walk to Lubaga anymore. On 8/04/1975, he celebrated mass in Busega who introduced Rev. Fr. Bazilio Babuumba as an appointed parish priest of Busega
